Digging the new Modest Mouse.
(Also, weird for me to just realize that This Is a Long Drive for Someone with Nothing to Think About came out 30 years ago. I worked in an Alaskan cannery for a couple of summers around then and vividly remember playing “Dramamine” and “Talking Shit About a Pretty Sunset” on CD for people in our bunkhouse during downtimes, and seeing 764-HERO and Modest Mouse open for Built to Spill at Bottom of the Hill (RIP) in San Francisco in probably ’97 was such an incredible show. After which for some reason Isaac Brock thought that my straight-edge vegan friend Yvonne might have an idea where he could score some drugs. 😂)
