Tremors (1990)

A lean and often very funny 96 minutes of giant underground worms terrorizing a dilapidated Nevada town, starring Kevin Bacon and Fred Ward (along with an entertaining Michael Gross and Reba McEntire as a married pair of desert gun nuts). In a terrific article at The Reveal titled "Why Are You Reading This When You Could Be Watching 'Tremors'?, Keith Phipps at The Reveal correctly pegs this as "not a great movie, but a perfect good movie."
