Modern Times (Charlie Chaplin, 1936)

City Lights notwithstanding, this is my favorite Chaplin, and one of my all-time favorite movies period. The Tramp tries to survive various jobs in the Great Depression and takes up with an orphaned street urchin. The feeding machine alone kills me every time, and there are so many other terrifically funny scenes.
